Bishop Dr. James Paul Brown was born and raised in South Philadelphia. Raised by his great-grandparents, he was taught about the true values and wisdoms of life in order for him to be a mature and accomplished man in a world where life is no crystal stair. Under their authority and care, he gained an understanding from their lessons which had educated and motivated him to pursue a path that would celebrate his gifts and talents.

He was educated in his early years at St. Charles Borremeo School located in South Philadelphia. He graduated from South Philadelphia High School in 1972. He furthered his education at Cheyney State University. Education is an important factor to him. Bishop Dr. James Paul Brown is not only committed to the assignment of pursuing and reaching higher levels in life to mold him into a distinguishable man educationally and intellectually. The ministry of marriage is the center of his life. He is blessed to have been united to his woman of Proverbs, Jackie Brown, who has been his crown of glory.

Through their union, he has learned the significance of commitment and the treasures of love that two individuals ordained by God can have with one another. Family is essential and a dear blessing to his heart. Stumped by life tragedies, Bishop Dr. James Paul Brown was gripped by the natures of this world that lead him to go astray for many years, but even still God had a destined plan and purpose for his life. God had commissioned him to do a work that was impossible in his sight because he knew where he had come from, but with God all things are possible.

God saw fit for him to continue his education after twenty-five years of turmoil and enrolled into the “Center of Theological Studies,” where he received his “Bachelors of Science Degree in Urban Studies and Leadership.” The journey did not stop there in his education endeavors; he later graduated from Palmer Theological Seminary in May 2008 with a “Master’s Degree in Divinity”. Moving on even further, he attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary attempting to receive a Doctorate Degree, but God directed him to finish his pursuit for a Doctorate Degree at Andersville Theological Seminary in “Christian Counseling.”

God seeing the faithfulness of His servant elevated him to another spiritual level, which was a mystery in his eyes, but he willingly submitted to the higher calling God was anointing him to. It was on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Jesus Holy Temple Incorporated Conference and General Assembly 2019 in Lancaster, PA, under the presiding Prelate Apostle T.V. Outen Chief Apostle, where he was consecrated as a Bishop. All of which, was witnessed by his family, friends, and members of his church. This occasion was truly a historic moment in the church history of Christian Faith Baptist Church.

Bishop Dr. James Paul Brown is a dedicated and devoted ambassador to the mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. He is presently the Pastor at Christian Faith Baptist Church and has been for over sixteen years and is extremely pleased with the work God has called him to do. His favorite portion of scripture is Galatians 6:3, “If a man think himself is something, when he is nothing, he deceives
himself.”

His integrity is not of his own doing, but the elevation of his character as a man of God is sanctioned by the authority of the one who called and ordained his commission to serve.
