Reverend John Burton was born and raised in South Philadelphia. He is a devout Man of God, loving husband to his beautiful wife Deaconess Terri Burton, dedicated father, wonderful grandfather, caring great grandfather, and a loyal friend. He feels life is rich with the blessing of having a family that loves, cares, and supports him.

Even when life was difficult, challenging, and hard at times to handle the weight of it, where life was heavy on his shoulders. God still called him out and chose him to be an ambassador for the Kingdom of God. Feeling unworthy of the call, he obediently accepted the charge to be God's representative. Being under the Pastoral Leadership of Bishop Dr. James P. Brown at Christian Faith Baptist Church, where he has been equipped and developed to go into the ministry. He was licensed to preach as a Minister of the Gospel on January 19, 2020.

This opened the doors for him to serve in many capacities at the church in ministry. Some of those ministries are New Members Minsitry, Baptism Ministry, Sunday School Ministry, and the Lost and Found Ministry. Being used by God as a light of hope in the world is a humble joy because his life has been transformational because of Jesus Christ. He wants to be a witness and see peoples lives be transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ as it were so for him.

His favorite portion of scripture is, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26
